  The Campus Party is an annual 24-7 event, and about 7000 visitors are expected to participate with different interests such as digital art, robotics or computer games.  This year marks the fifth edition of the event in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Founded in 1997 as a gaming and demoscene event, the festival was first held in Málaga, Spain, and has since spurred editions in Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Ecuador and Chile. In 2012, the event will be held for the first time in the United States in Silicon Valley, California.
